Ruffwood School

Ruffwood School is a popular and successful school. The evidence from OFSTED in 2004 backed up by the outstanding 44% A*-C GCSE result proves it. The well-qualified and experienced staff have the confidence of knowing that the educational experiences offered to all young people at Ruffwood has served the community of Kirkby well. The key to our success is the excellent way in which the school is equipped to meet the learning needs of all pupils within the 21st century.

A 'can do' culture of encourage success and excellence at all levels is at the heart of all we do at Ruffwood. The school has a fine tradition of meeting the needs of the pupils within the local community and giving them every chance of future success.

The school follows the principles of the traditional educational values based on wearing a school uniform in which the pupils can feel proud. This is coupled to working hard in a secure and well-disciplined environment where staff care for the needs of the individual and ensure that they aspire to the high standards that we all expect.

I feel confident that the school is equipped to meet the learning requirements of any child in any specialist area. Extra curricular activities are a strength of the school. I am confident that parents will approve of the high standards and expectations within the school.

Should you have any further questions please make an appointment to see myself or one of our senior staff. We are all here to answer your questions to ensure that every child reaches their potential at Ruffwood.

The school has aspects which are good, very good or excellent - OFSTED 2004
