Art & Design 3-Dimensional Design
This G.C.S.E. is concerned with the design and construction of three-dimensional objects - sculptures, functional and decorative objects and product design. Students will be encouraged to experiment and use a variety of materials, for example :
- Plaster
- Wood
- Clay
- Metal / Wire
- Cardboard / Paper
- Found Objects
- Recycled products
Students will learn about the history of Art. They will use this knowledge to enhance their own work and to develop new interests and ideas.
Art & Design (Syllabus A)
Syllabus A is a course that involves a choice of work in 2 or more of the following :
- Drawing and Painting
- Graphics
- Sculpture
- Pottery
- Print Making
- Photography
Students will learn about the history of Art and will develop new interests and skills.
Art & Design (Textiles)
During the course pupils will develop and learn new Textile skills. They will choose to work in two or more of the following :
- Screen printed fabrics - Fashion
- Felted fabrics
- Wall hangings
- Batik
- Hats
- Decorative Cushions
