Comenius Socrates School Project On National Stereotypes

From the 20th to the 24th of October 2004 three pupils and two staff attended a project meeting in Nantes, France. The pupils were:

• Paul Mutch Year 11
• Laura keggin Year 10
• Louise McCoy Year 10

These pupils all stayed with French host families.

The two staff were:

• Ms Martinez Rivera
• Ms Debra Evans

On Thursday we visited a small vineyard in the morning and in the afternoon we visited a small Italianated town near Nantes.Ms Martinez attended a project meeting while the rest visited a museum in Nantes. On the Friday we visited salt mines in Guerande and later visited a medieval town,Clizon.

That evening we attended the project presentation at the Deshayes school in St Gilda de Bois. Each delegate from participating schools presented their area to the community of St Gilda de bois. Ms Martinez presented ours.After the presentation there was dancing and refreshments. The Saturday and Sunday was spent with host families.
